Hyperion Financial Management Junior Consultant

Job Description:

Finit Solutions, recognized in 2009 and 2010 as one of the 100 fastest growing private companies in greater Philadelphia, is seeking candidates with very strong backgrounds in accounting and finance to participate in implementations of Oracle Hyperion Financial Management solutions. Oracle Hyperion tools are the market-leading Enterprise Performance Management applications and are used by large global organizations for critical business planning and financial reporting activities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ experience in public accounting and/or a corporate accounting department, possesses strong technical skills with respect to financial consolidation tools, and has a deep understanding of the financial close process and related reporting requirements. The ideal candidate also finds personal satisfaction in continuously developing his or her own knowledge, has an innate curiosity and natural desire to learn, and works well in a team environment through knowledge sharing and collaboration. Prior HFM experience is a plus but not a requirement for this role; Finit will provide product training as needed for candidates with the desired background who demonstrate high potential and aptitude.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, application building, testing, and training, documentation, knowledge transfer, and light project management. You will be working with client personnel and other Finit consultants on the implementation of these systems. You will be helping clients implement Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion BI+ reporting tools, and Oracle Hyperion integration tools (Financial Data Quality Management (FDM), Data Integration Management (DIM), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), etc).

Job Requirements:

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Candidates with a related Finance or IT degree and strong financial reporting skills will be considered.
• CPA, MBA or other relevant higher education (a plus.)
• Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel skills and strong exposure to financial consolidation systems.
• 3+ years’ experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting, including direct experience with:
  • The monthly and quarterly close process.
  • SEC external reporting requirements.
  • Internal management reporting.
  • Sarbanes Oxley controls.
  • XBRL.
  • IFRS.

General

• Organized, thorough, detail-oriented.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills.

  (total expected travel is 60 - 80%).
