Tax Reporting

Finit Solutions has helped numerous clients extend their usage of HFM and Enterprise beyond external reporting and internal management analysis to also include tax compliance requirements at the federal, state, and even local level. Some of the tax reporting solutions that Finit helps clients implement include:

• Building the chart of accounts and / or custom dimensions to include the level of detail required by tax departments.
• Setting up entity hierarchies that include the legal entity and FEIN level of reporting.
• Using the FDM Tax adapter to integrate FDM with tax software tools such as TaxStream and CorpTax.
• Using FDM to extract, map and load HFM / Hyperion Enterprise data to tax software systems such as TaxStream and CorpTax.

Finit recommends including tax requirements in the initial implementation and / or application redesign of HFM and Hyperion Enterprise so that organizations have the flexibility to meet those requirements once external reporting and internal management analysis needs are being met. This results in increased return on the software investment as well as greater cooperation and collaboration between the external reporting and tax reporting groups of users.
